A Blanket for me! The Best Inspiration

Image
My First granny Square in Over a decade! I had to follow a basic granny square pattern. It was hilarious. The last time I made a granny square I was 17! I think that was the last timeI followed a pattern too. Well I had to pump out 100 of these 4 x 4 squares keep ten and mail out the rest all over the U.S. to other members in my crochet group. I wish I had a picture of my Dad taking them to the post office. LOL! This was the first, most exciting and inspiring project I ever took part in; and the squares I received were awesome. Mother's Day was wonderful! I could not wait to wake up and see what kind of squares were in the mailbox. Making the rounds, creating a layout design (Thanks to My daughter) and then attaching them and making the final two rows was such tedious work but well worth the work. Look At The Beautiful Squares! Whelp! I have to take another picture of my finished AFGHAN! This should inspire me to search through piles of items in my closet, and take out my...

Butterflies Inspires Me to Change

Image
Butterflies makes me think about a renewed person in Christ! My favorite of creations by God, synonymous to Spiritual Re-Birth! I made these pretty butterfly magnets for an awesome group I belong to on another site. I learned this pattern about 15 years ago....I actually took some one's work, opened it and copied the stitches as I crocheted. OMG ! I had to have those magnets. Love and Blessings

Keepsakes are Inspiring

Image
I was so behind when I made this Keepsake Blanket for my grandson. I finished it this year. They are coming so fast! LOL! Nevertheless, when I look at him carrying His blankie it inspires me to finish the other five or six, I lost count. By God's grace I completed 2 more and have 3 works in progress. Thank you Lord! Love and Blessings This is a sample I need of an unfinished keepsake..

Old Inspirations Hat

Image
These are hats I made last winter for my grandchildren. There are 10 of them now 5 boys and 5 girls. Have to thank God for the Blessings. Anyway as I fore stated I do not like patterns so I crocheted these as I watched the History Channel. They actually love them. Rion and Jay kept fighting over each other's hats. A wonderful learning tool I taught them colors and alphabets. The cold wintry days inspired me to use the dwindling yarn supply I had left to make these for the grands. BTW I made a similar one for my other grandson with a personalized backpack for his birthday before I made this set. Forgot to take a picture of that set. Until next time. L&B
